Located in Warsaw’s Żoliborz district, this apartment was designed with a family of four in mind. Timeless, soft grays provide a neutral backdrop for colorful accents and Barlinek flooring. The kitchen and dining area are combined in a Scandinavian style.
Interior design: Decoroom
The clients wanted a subdued and cohesive base that would serve as a neutral backdrop for colorful accessories and movable furniture. That’s why the interior design features soft grays, which bring a sense of calm and stability to the space. The over 100-square-meter space is warmed by a wooden floor, which adds coziness and fosters a family atmosphere. Gray walls that blend into the decor, spacious built-in cabinets, and even a large, comfortable corner sofa in a light gray shade remain in the background. Subtle grays allowed the bold and intense colors of the movable furniture to stand out.
In contrast to the living area, the kitchen section lacks bold, intense colors. Here, bold colors are replaced by subtle gold in the form of elegant cabinet handles and accessories. They beautifully complement the pattern of the light marble on the wall above the countertop. The whole space is warmed by wood—a countertop that mimics solid wood and the aforementioned Barlinek Oak Plank on the floor.
