SPC vinyl flooring care (collection: Aura)

Vinyl panels are extremely durable and easy to clean and maintain. But to ensure they last for years, it’s important to provide them with proper care and use items such as chair pads or furniture pads.

Care and Use of SPC Panels (Aura Collection)

1.

Place doormats at the entrances to the apartment to effectively prevent sand, dirt, and water from being tracked in on shoes. Protect the floor by using mats outside and/or inside all entrances. The mats will collect dirt, sand, pebbles, and other solid particles brought in, and will absorb moisture. Keep the mats clean. Do not use mats with latex or rubber backing on SPC flooring, as certain compounds in these materials may permanently stain or damage the panels. Mats intended for use on SPC panels should be labeled “non-staining.”

2.

All furniture and other items that come into contact with the floor should be fitted with protective pads—such as felt pads—which should be replaced regularly.

3.

Armchairs and other furniture equipped with hard plastic casters
should be used on protective plastic mats. If protective mats are not used, the casters should be replaced with those designed for hard W-type floors.

4.

If the floor is exposed to sunlight (UV light), it will change its original color.

5.

The floor has a factory finish and is ready for use immediately after installation. Care of the floor should be performed exclusively with products intended for this purpose. Instructions for caring for SPC floors can be found at barlinek.com

  • Never use vacuum cleaners with brushes that could damage the floor.
  • Immediately wipe up any spilled water.
  • Vacuum or sweep the floor to remove any particles that could scratch it.
  • You can use a damp cloth, with or without the recommended product for floor care. Do not leave wet marks on the floor after cleaning.
  • Do not use high-pressure washers or steam cleaners to clean the floor.
  • Trim your pets’ nails to prevent damage to the floor.
  • Do not drag heavy furniture or equipment across the floor.
  • Using products for floor care other than those recommended by Barlinek may damage the varnish layer, cause changes in color and gloss, and result in stains.
  • Do not use products containing wax, paraffin, or silicone.
  • For daily care, we recommend dry cleaning (vacuuming, sweeping).
  • Clean the floor with a mop, moving along the baseboards.

6.

While the floor is in use, the room temperature should be between +18°C and +29°C.
