We have the results of Creations from Nature!

Second place for Maja Sobura, third for Agata Smok and two special mentions for Anna Łoskiewicz-Zakrzewska and Joanna Ochota – that was how they lined up for the podium for the competition to design a Barlinek Creations from Nature board. The competition results were announced during Łódź Design Festival.

The competition was one of this year's projects by the Barlinek Institute of Design – a platform founded by Barlinek for collaboration with architects and designers (currently operating only on the Polish market). The entrants' task was to design a new pattern for the Barlinek floorboard.

"Barlinek is one of the companies which decided to ask young designers for their opinions when working on a product. The producer, who is already thinking about how the market may look in future, approached the people who are creating that future reality," said Przemo Łukasik, an architect of the Medusa Group and chairman of the competition jury.

The jury selected four winners, awarding second and third place titles and two distinctions. The results were announced and the cheques were ceremonially presented on 18 October at the Łódź Design Festival during the Brave New Client lectures from the series Design Alive Talks.

"Today's Brave New Client seeks ambitious solutions. To provide these we are wide open to cooperation with designers and architects. The Creations from Nature contest was the first step, and today we are already planning more which will enable created and talented designers to make a contribution to the creation of our product and the Barlinek brand,” says Dorota Karbowska-Zawadzka, Barlinek S.A. Marketing Director and the brains behind the competition.
