Welcome to the Barlinek Institute of Design — a platform for collaboration with architects, through which you gain dedicated support from professional consultants, priority service and access to our product database (textures for CAD software). The Barlinek Institute of Design also offers regular, free training sessions for architects in many Polish cities and at our factories in Barlinek / PL. We actively participate in the most important design festivals in Poland and abroad. We showcase wood, SPC and hybrid products — materials and solutions that accompany us in everyday life in subtle, often surprising ways. We have also organised five editions of the “Creations from Nature” competition, which has inspired the creation of many products in which architects have actively participated during the design and development stages.
CREATIONS OF NATURE
Since 2013, the Barlinek Institute of Design (BIOD) has been organising the ‘Creations of Nature’ competition. The project, run in collaboration with ‘Design Alive’ magazine, has become one of the most important platforms for architects and designers in Poland. The jury comprises industry experts, including Przemo Łukasik (Medusa Group), Agnieszka Stefańska, Szymon Hanczar and Wojciech Trzcionka.
The competition has resulted in unique projects, including the Tastes of Life collection, created in collaboration with the winners: Agata Smok, Joanna Ochota, Anna Łoskiewicz-Zakrzewska and Maja Sobura. As Przemo Łukasik emphasises, “Creations of Nature” is a fascinating exploration of the relationship between technology and nature, which inspires both designers and the manufacturer.
DESIGN FESTIVALS
Barlinek is a regular guest at the most important design festivals, where we present wood in an unconventional and sensual way:
Milan Design Week: During the prestigious fair in Milan, we presented the interactive exhibition Sensorial Carpentry (created with the Tabanda group). “The Carpentry of the Senses” allowed an international audience to experience the magic of raw wood with all their senses.
Łódź Design Festival: This is where the heart of Polish design beats. At ŁDF, we showcase winning competition entries and engage in open dialogue with the creators.
Gdynia Design Days: At GDD, we focus on education and creativity – including for the youngest visitors. Workshops using the Barlinek Board demonstrate that design knows no age limits.
Wawa Design Days: Meetings with architectural icons and design workshops are our way of building a Warsaw community around applied arts.
COLLABORATION AND WORKSHOPS
Our international presence includes participation in the BAU trade fair in Munich, where our stands (designed by Hanczar Studio) attract thousands of architects from around the world. We also collaborate on a permanent basis with the Tabanda group, realising innovative exhibition projects.
Education and trendwatching:
The Barlinek Institute of Design is all about sharing knowledge. We organise workshops on trends, care and the properties of natural wood.

Do you work for a demanding Customer? Are you participating in a tender? Based on our many years of experience in commercial and private investments, we will help you to prepare a design. We will provide you with comprehensive information about our products and professional advice.
We supply samples
Colour, grain pattern, touch – the advantages of a real wooden flooring are best presented to the Customer by showing them a sample of a selected floorboard, so we will provide you with samples you are interested in. This will certainly make it easier to choose the perfect floor for your design.
We provide certificates
We will help you to confirm that your design or range of products meets all the required formal and functional criteria. We will provide you with the necessary documents and certificates confirming the technical parameters and safety of our floors.
We organise training
We invite you to participate in free meetings where our experts present our range of product and answer any questions. We also organise training in the factory in Barlinek, where you can see the production process of the Barlinek Floorboard.

In order to create a good design, it is necessary to get to know the technical and financial conditions and, above all, the expectations of the Investor – also regarding the flooring. Our set of basic questions will help. Ask them to your Customer before you contact us with your enquiry.
Presentation of the product range and solutions
We offer a full range of wooden flooring designs and finishes for private, commercial (offices, restaurants, shopping malls, SPA salons, etc.) and sports investments (halls, fitness rooms and gyms, dance halls, etc.). On the Downloads tab you will find textures for CAD programs.

Our sales partners will help you to specify the details of your order. Also ask about the transport and professional installation carried out by Authorised Installers of Barlinek. The use of their services is not only a guarantee of proper laying of the floor, but also an additional 10 year warranty.
